Refugees, Security, Conflict, Internally Displaced Persons

Measure Africa team has conducted several evaluation studies on behalf of various regional, international and local organizations working with Refugees and internally displaced persons in Kenya and Uganda. They include the Lutheran World Federation, International Planned Parenthood Federation Africa Regional Office (IPPFARO), and the Danish Refugee Council. Measure Africa’s support has involved
Training in M&E methodology including Rights Based Approaches to M&E of Refugee Programmes at the Kakuma Refugee Camp; a MTR of the LWF Kenya Country Programme with data collection at the Dadaab and Kakuma refugee camps;
Training on Story Telling MSC Methodology for use with the the IPPFARO Human Security and Sexual health Study carried out by MA team members in Liberia, DRC, Uganda and Rwanda. Stories from the community were gathered using this approach with refugees and IDPs living in these countries.
Capacity building and training in use of Outcome Mapping methodology for Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting on Refugee programmes for NRC and LWF staff working with refugees and IDPs in Kenya and Somalia.
